Trust seems to be a major factor and a defining principle when looking for a good leader. As many can understand this trust issue has supreme consequences if certain qualities and characteristics are not followed. We see even today in the WORLDS STAGE, that many are falling short due to the lack of certain criteria to follow.
After trust is broken, leadership and the positions of leadership are compromised: leaving sometimes irreparable damage.
Here are Six Major Characteristics that must be followed to be an effective Leader:
1. Integrity: This one is the most important one, because without integrity nothing else will stand.
That being said; The Leaders Life and Words Must match!
2. Justice: Who would want to follow someone who is always looking to scam someone. This certainly can be devastating to an unsuspected follower.
A "Good Leader" will always reject dishonest gain.
3. Pure: A clean mind is a mind that can fight off adversity. The leader disciplines his or her mind to remain clean and pure.
4. Secure: The leader is firm, and stable in his or her identity. The leader is also a source of strength to those that follow. People are looking for strong secure leaders they can trust.
5. Positive focus: This type of characteristic gives the leader the ability; to,not to focus on destructive issues, which can become a great burden on all who surrounds him. Negativity will destroy quickly, and attitudes will change just as fast.
6. Convictions: Being strong in your convictions gives you a source of establishment; for example; doing the right thing regardless of circumstance. This type of leadership characteristic will never allow the leader to compromise their values to accept a bribe, or do something outside of integrity.
All the characteristics mentioned above are essential for effective Leadership. Without these, trust cannot be sustained or given to. When leaders have all of these , they can feel secure enough to start developing new LEADERS, rather than destroying them. Always remember; to empower others, a leader must be secure in themselves.
